The Upside-down Fuji Puzzle Box by Daiki Arimura was only availble to Karakuri Members in a Lottery format in 12/20/24.
The crafter describes this work by stating the following: "I made this box for Karakuri beginners. I put a cute face on Mt. Fuji on the box. It was difficult for me to draw the face. In Japan, when we see the reflection of Mt. Fuji on the surface of a lake, we call it Sakasa-Fuji, because it’s reflected upside-down.
This is the hint to opening the box.
*The face on each box may look a little different as I hand-draw each of them.
*The faces can be different each as I manually draw them."
Crafted of Maple, Walnut and Cherry.
Exterior measures 68 x 62 x 61 mm. with secret spaces measuring 43 x 43 x x 19 mm.
Comes in Gift Box and Opening Diagram!
