This work was designed and sold through a 2025 Karakuri Lottery and was a limited release.
The crafter describes their work as, "
This piece is an evolution of the mechanism used in the R CUBE (KW-52), developed so that all sides of the cube can now move. It contains two storage compartments.
The main feature of this work is its surface design. For the past three years, I have been creating Christmas presents in the form of cubes with diagonal grooves carved into their surfaces.
Originally, I wanted to make the design two-toned along the grooves, but within the limited budget for the Christmas present series, the decorations I could apply were restricted.
In order to create the appearance of the cube being divided perfectly into two parts, I had to carefully consider both the order of processing and the methods for achieving precision.
There are still some challenges to overcome, but I believe the experience gained here will be valuable for future works."
